AVL CRETA 3D Viewer
| Technologies • C# 3.0 (.Net 3.5) • Direct X 10.0 The AVL CRETA 3D viewer has been developed for CAMEO (www.avl.com/cameo) and allows the user to visualize, change and save software parameters. This application has been adopted and is executed directly from the Calibration Data Management System AVL CRETA (www.avl.com/creta) whereas software parameters from AVL CRETA are visualized and all changes are automatically returned to AVL CRETA. The 3D viewer allows editing in a grid and also the editing of software parameters with the mouse. It is also possible to define boundaries (upper / lower limits) and to modify ranges by mathematical operations like add, subtract, multiply and divide. (Additional information about calibration data management can be found here) |
INCA eCDM – Interface
| Technologies • C# 3.0 (.Net 3.5) eCDM … Enterprise Calibration Data Management The INCA (www.etas.com) eCDM interface enables a user-friendly calibration data handling between INCA and AVL CRETA (www.avl.com/creta). The calibration tool INCA can access the entire AVL CRETA calibration data base to download A2L and Hex/S19 files and upload calibration results performed in INCA. The workflow for the calibration engineer has been simplified by this interface because the export and import of DCM or PaCo exchange files is no longer necessary. ESS – ECU Signal Stimulator

| Technologies • C# 2.0 • C++ 2.0 • C ESS makes it possible to configure and define signals for an ECU (Engine Control Unit). For each signal, you can select the respective channels on the connector. In addition to manually configure curves, signal definitions and measurements, they can also be imported either from INCA (www.etas.com) or by a file operation (MDF file format). As a result of the configuration, the application will simulate the appropriate signals to an ECU. Data input is done hierarchical on three different levels (Owner/Administrator/User). Every dataset can be saved (XML file format) and later on be loaded again. That way every dataset is interchangeable (between clients and/or between the three layers) |
DiMac – Diagnose Management Codes

| Technologies • C# 2.0 • SQL Server 2005 Express Edition DiMac is a tool to manage and parameterize the so-called Diagnostics-Management-Codes. The Diagnostics-Management-Codes specify which measurements should be taken with which sensors in a car. Furthermore error sequences can be set. An error sequence for example could define that some features should be locked in case of an error or maybe some other features will be turned on. DiMac not only allows you to manage those codes comfortably (there are several thousand codes to configure for one engine), but to differentiate whole sets of data, means you can compare the configuration of engine A with the configuration of engine B. Due to the large amount of data and the requirement of mobility, we decided to take advantage of the MS SQL Server Express Edition, which means Client = Server. Though a integrated central data administration wasn’t necessary in our case, it would be straightforward to implement one. Data exchange between clients can be done by the implemented export and import functionality. To top it all off a built-in reporting system provides reports, which are conformable to law. |
GEM-STAT - Gas Emissions Model Statistics

| Technologies • C# 4.0 • SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition • SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services As the name suggests, this application is all about emissions. Result sets of all emission tests either done on the test bed or in the field are imported in to a MS SQL Server database. In GEM-STAT the preprocessed and analyzed results are displayed in several diagnostically conclusive charts, graphs, tables and others. Preprocessing is done with additional information and specific environment variables like exhaust system, fuel type, legislation targets and so on, which can also be edited and managed in the application. Engineers mainly use this application to get a good overview of the results and to compare result sets of different configurations. In addition to the built-in reports, users can take advantage of the MS Report Builder and assemble their own statistics. |
Offer II Reloaded | Technologies • C# 3.5 • WPF • NHibernate • SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition • SQL Server 2008 Express Edition • Merge Replication OIIR is a proven application brought up to date, so it is state of the art again. Of course this was not done without implementing new features and improvements. The application provides a simple way to create offers in the form of a tree structure. The user can allow discounts, facts and measurements are calculated automatically and further versions of the offer can be created. Master data update is done by interfaces to multiple applications (including SAP). Once an offer is ready for printing you can choose between several formats (docx, xlsx and others). Each client can run in mobile state. Data synchronization via MS MergeReplication starts as soon as the client is online again. |
Sandvik Cost Sheet | Technologies • C# 3.0 • VSTO • MS SQL Server 2008 • MS Reporting Services • CSV Interface Sandvik has been monitoring it's cost and it's budget for years. Since they want to control their cost information technologie based, the disire for a MS project server task cost controlling came loud. So this was implemented. To compare cost and budget information with the Sandvik SAP System an interface between Cost Sheet and SAP was developed. This interface imports actual cost and committed cost and compares the values with those from Cost Sheet. Also a sophisticated reporting system is included in Cost Sheet. |
MME - Material Management Extension

| Technologies • C# 4.0 • VB.Net 10 • Oracle 10g • Java Stored Procedures • Microsoft Reporting Services 2005 • SAP IDOC AVL List GmbH's bills of material (BOM) are constructed and administrated with Windchill PDMLink. To monitor order requests, orders, goods receipts, goods movements etc. for each line of a BOM and bring this information to the company's ERP system the idea of developing a connection piece between Windchill PDMLink and SAP was born. This consists on the one hand of a 150% BOM (logistical bom) which administers and lists also revised and deleted bom lines. This is neccessary for the rapid development process, because the design department works on newer versions of a part while the actual one (which is not available any more in PDM) is procured or is running on a test bed. The communcation between these two systems is accomplished via a process called synchronization. In the technical point of view, PDM delivers a snap shot of the actual design bom which is merged with the logistical bom. On the other end of the process chain is SAP which gets order request with the part information data from the new developed system automatically. Further orders are created and administered in SAP which are also sent back to MME. In the inbound logistics Material Management Extension comes into play. It administrates all goods receipts, goods movements and serial numbers concerning the parts. To top it all off, additional features like a document management system, internal messaging, a supplier management including a supplier evaluation and a sophisticated reporting system are also implemented. |
DAISY – Digitales Antrags Informations System
 | Technologies • C# 2.0 • SQL Server 2005 & 2008 • Reporting Services 2005 & 2008 • Analysis Services 2005 & 2008 DAISY is an application which is used to manage applications and programmes of the Austrian Universities of Applied Sciences. It is mainly used to take record of all relevant data. This can be done by the administration agency, or by the universities themselves via web applications. The great benefit of DAISY is the evaluation of the collected data. That’s where the built-in reporting comes handy. Also all reports are stored on a central report server and therefore downloadable or you can use a web application to display them. As data storage backend, a SQL Server Database is used. (current version: SQL Server 2008 SE). |
FOEBIS II - Förderungs Berechnungs und Informations System Version II
 | Technologies • C# 2.0 • SQL Server 2005 & 2008 • Reporting Services 2005 & 2008 • Analysis Services 2005 & 2008 FOEBIS II provides counting and calculation the Austrian Universities of Applied Sciences need to attract funding / to take advantage of the funding programme. To ensure data integrity at anytime FOEBIS II was completely integrated into DAISY. Base data is synchronized between the applications whereas DAISY is the leading system and final data editing is done in FOEBIS II. Also Related (funding) contracts are stored in FOEBIS. According to DAISY, a rich reporting system was implemented. |
PIM – Product Information Management
 | Technologies • C# 2.0, ASP.NET • Oracle 10g • IIS 6 • VB.NET • .NET Framework 3.0 • HTML • SQL Server 2005 & 2008 PIM is an ASP .NET web application developed for creating and maintaining sales texts. Texts edited in PIM are persisted to an Oracle database in formatted HTML. All common text-formatting possibilities are supported and pictures (even in vector formats) can be included. The Add-On PIMConverter provides functionality to export/convert said text modules into Word 2007 (DOCX) format. Word 2007 COM-Objects are not required to do so, which means there’s no need to have a Word 2007 instance installed to perform the export/conversion. PIM also has several interfaces to other systems, e.g. the sales texts are exported to OfferIIReloaded - Word 2007 format or to SAP in flat file format. |
EMIS 2005 – Exhaust Material Information System

 | Technologies • C# 2.0 • SQL Server 2008 • SQL Server Compact 3.5 EMIS manages information about materials (with focus on materials used for building exhaust systems). As central data storage backend SQL Server 2008 SE is installed. EMIS supports the following operation modes: Online mode (Read/Write): Available for clients at the headquarters. Offline mode (Readonly): Available for certain distribution partners; to make data offline available, all content is exported to a SQL Server CE file (SDF).in specified intervals, which is available for download via web portal. Deployment is also done via the same web portal, where only the partners have access to.
